Broking Account Handler
Are you an experienced Commercial Motor insurance professional looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment? We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our growing team, supporting clients with their commercial insurance needs while delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.
The Role
As part of our broking team, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day servicing and administration of Commercial Motor insurance programmes. You’ll work closely with clients, insurers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure policies are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory standards.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll handle both new business and renewals, build strong insurer relationships, support junior team members, and help identify opportunities to grow existing client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and service Commercial Motor insurance accounts for a range of clients.
Handle new business, renewals, quotations, endorsements, and policy administration.
Prepare and issue professional quotation reports for clients and executives.
Liaise with insurers and underwriters to obtain competitive terms and market quotations.
Ensure policy documentation is accurate and issued in a timely manner.
Process premiums and maintain effective credit control procedures.
Manage correspondence, diary activities, and client files in line with company procedures.
Support and mentor team members, including the administration team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and clients.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and generate new business leads.
Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys delivering outstanding client service.
Essential Experience
Strong experience within the Commercial Motor insurance market, either with an insurer or broker.
Experience handling both new business and renewals.
Good understanding of insurance processes, compliance, and FCA requirements.

Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
