Our journey to Everywhen
Our journey is a story of continuous growth and evolution. As the UK-based broking and advisory heart of the Ardonagh Group, Everywhen unites a nationwide network with a strong local touch — powered by over 4,500 talented individuals across more than 140 hubs. Look at how far we’ve come:
In the early 2000s, Towergate embarked on an exciting period of rapid growth, expanding through various acquisitions to become one of the UK's leading independent insurance brokers.
A new chapter began as Towergate joined the Highbridge Principal Strategies family (now HPS Investment Partners). We were also thrilled to welcome David Ross as our CEO, bringing his wealth of experience from Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
The journey continued as David Ross announced the formation of a dynamic new insurance broking group, KIRS Group, bringing together the strengths of Towergate, Autonet, Chase Templeton, Ryan Direct Group, and Price Forbes.
Just a couple of months later, KIRS Group evolved into The Ardonagh Group, with the significant backing of HPS and Madison Dearborn Partners. Importantly, we continued to champion the well-established trading brands within our portfolio.
This period marked a time of significant expansion, both across the UK and on the international stage. We welcomed new businesses in Europe, Australia, and beyond. We grew to encompass over 45 trading names, a team of more than 4,500 people, and place over £5 billion in insurance premiums each year.
Richard Tuplin is appointed CEO of General Insurance Broking and, building on the fantastic work of his predecessor, assembles a superstar leadership team who continue to evolve the business into the powerhouse it is today.
We announce our new brand Everywhen at an unforgettable BIBA 2025 in Manchester. We begin talking to our clients and customers about Everywhen and what it all means.
At the end of 2025, Everywhen will become our trading brand for all businesses that make up our General Insurance, Direct and Employee Benefits business today.
With this foundation in place, we go into 2026 fit for the future, ready to accelerate our growth and be there for all the moments that matter to our clients and customers.
