What is the Emerging Careers Apprenticeship Programme?
We are passionate about creating the optimum environment to progress; providing anyone who has a desire to embark upon a career in insurance with the right opportunities to succeed. We understand that there is a great deal to learn when starting out on a new career path; this programme provides supported learning at a pace that will suit you. The induction programme will provide you with the perfect grounding to develop the required skills and knowledge to succeed in the role, before progressing on to the apprenticeship that will help you achieve industry qualifications. There is a wide range of career opportunities within insurance, and after successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have ongoing career conversations to support you in the next step of your career pathway.

Following the amazing success of the last three apprenticeship cohorts, our programme has been externally recognised by the Global Learning Awards and award the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award in 2024. At Everywhen, we are launching our 2025 cohort of our exciting Emerging Careers Programme, giving you the opportunity to unlock all those hidden skills and potential, that you never knew you had.
Starting in September 2025, you will begin to build a successful career through our robust induction before embarking onto our Apprenticeship programme. Yes, there will be lots to learn but don’t worry, you will be supported throughout your journey to help you to be outstanding in your career in Insurance

Your Journey
Your 6-week induction programme will be delivered remotely, so there will be no need to travel to a central location. Your facilitator will be an award-winning
accredited Learning & Development professional who will deliver thought provoking, bite-sized learning using a
range of learning media. This will ensure that the learning will cater for everyone’s personal learning needs. You will also be given time for personal reflection and access to the facilitator for any additional support. During the induction programme, you will grow your skills and knowledge in areas such as Insurance, Customer Service, Personal Effectiveness, Sales, Products and Systems as well as valuable time shadowing and working closely with experienced colleagues. You will also receive the support of a mentor and a buddy throughout your journey.

“When I started the apprenticeship scheme, I had just finished my A-Levels, knowing I wanted to fulfill a career in the finance sector I began looking for apprenticeships. I was aware that university wasn’t the path I wanted to take as I was excited to get stuck in straight away to a career where I could improve in both my knowledge and behaviour. Right from the beginning of the apprenticeship the experience was engaging and hands on. It began with an 8-week introduction period which taught me a great amount of information about the insurance sector and what my role would entail. The knowledge I gained here not only aided me when it came to my role but also helped me to pass my first test for the apprenticeship. My team in the office has been continuously supportive of me allowing me to develop in the role at a pace which suits me and has encouraged me throughout my revision. So far, I think that my favourite part of the apprenticeship scheme has been learning about my role and how to execute it to the point that I am able to now fulfill my role alone, asking a few questions here and there. The support I have been given throughout my time at Ardonagh has been incredible, from my 8-week introduction with the Learning team, to my colleges in the office, everyone has helped me and never have I felt like I was unable to ask a question. I’d strongly agree that my choice in taking up an apprenticeship in the insurance industry was a good idea and that I have enjoyed the whole experience from the start to where I am now.”

Time Line
We will make sure you are prepared to succeed through our induction and on-boarding programme, which will see you learn and develop knowledge and skills that will be crucial for the role of Apprenticeship Account Handler. You will be supported through experienced mentors and buddies throughout your Apprenticeship journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn whilst learning great skills and setting solid foundations for your career ahead. Following a successful induction, you will undertake an 18-month apprenticeship programme which will provide supported studying towards achieving a level 3 qualification in Insurance. Once you have obtained your Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification, this will enable you to evolve and flourish in Everywhen through our internal talent programmes in areas such as Leadership, Sales and Insurance to name a few.
