Senior Underwriter
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our growing team. Reporting to our Head of Underwriting, you will manage and underwrite Renovation Insurance, overseeing advice-led delegated authority schemes in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
So, what does the role of a Senior Technical Underwriter here involve?
As a Senior Underwriter you will provide a pivotal role in assessing and evaluating risks, managing portfolios and driving underwriting results. Your responsibilities include:
Underwrite profitable renovation scheme business.
Underwrite larger, more complex projects which include concierge calls.
Provide written and oral advice to brokers.
Provide expert underwriting guidance to support other members of the team.
Insurance administration of existing policies, including extensions and adjustments.
Assist with accounts and claims queries.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all key stakeholders, including supporting brokers, insurers and industry experts.
Attend events, either as a guest or host.
What experience does a Senior Underwriter need?
Cert CII preferable.
Extensive specialist underwriting knowledge, ability, and experience DIP CII/ ACII preferable.
Advanced level of specialist market and specialist product knowledge.
A working knowledge of legal and regulatory Insurance framework.
Proven, effective training/coaching style.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
