We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Underwriter to join our Everywhen Commercial Motor team in Telford.

This role offers the opportunity to support key underwriting activities, work collaboratively across teams, and contribute directly to the achievement of business objectives in a fast‑moving commercial environment.

Responsibilities include:

· To obtain relevant information and fact find, calculate, negotiate and deliver premiums to secure the renewals of held business and incept new opportunities.

· Telephoning/liaising with brokers to build new connections and continue growing current relationships.

· Cross-selling products to brokers and their clients which they do not currently have and upselling current policy covers, where applicable.

· Processing mid-term adjustments for existing live clients/policies.

· Working to tight deadlines for inceptions and renewal invites, and achieving KPI's in relation to renewal retention, rate carried and cross-sell penetration.

· Ensuring the department hits budget every month. Liaising with management team on strategy, performance and additional opportunities.

What are we looking for?

· The applicant must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong sales drive to grow the business and broker relationships.

· Commercial insurance experience is preferred.

· Legal and regulatory awareness

· Customer care and good communication skills

· Claims understanding

· Numeracy and literacy

· Market knowledge and practice

· IT proficiency

· Relationship management
