Senior Management Accountant
Purpose of the Role
Join our Financial Reporting Team in a key leadership role supporting the Senior Finance Manager. You’ll lead a team of Management Accountants and take ownership of delivering accurate monthly management accounts, statutory reporting support, and forecasting—ensuring high-quality financial insight across the Group.
What you’ll be doing
Lead and develop a team of Management Accountants.
Oversee monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and commentary.
Review monthly KPIs and ensure they align with financial performance.
Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior year, working closely with Finance Business Partners and Directors.
Ensure accuracy of accounts through collaboration with wider finance teams.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
Approve journals and maintain strong financial controls.
Support year‑end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with FCA client and insurer money rules.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who has/is:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
Proven leadership or team management experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, CASS and UK GAAP.
Advanced Excel and confident data analysis skills.
Experience delivering accurate results to tight deadlines.
