Business Support Assistant

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our admin team as a business support assistant.
Based in Harrogate, you will be working as part of a team of 4, working collaboratively to deliver great results, whilst demonstrating a positive can-do attitude.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting into the Admin Team Leader, you will be a keen learner who is ready to hit the ground running and ready to learn more about the world of insurance. Alternatively, you may be looking for a new role which allows you to enhance your existing knowledge and experience in the industry.
As a business support assistant, your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: managing existing business inboxes for our farm and motor products, ensuring that information from brokers is correctly added to our admin systems and tasked to underwriters accordingly. You will also be responsible for issuing documentation, call handling and taking concise messages to pass onto our underwriters, communicating with underwriters and our network of brokers, as well as actioning any ad-hoc requests which arise.
This is a hybrid, full-time position.
You will be given on-the-job training with a highly experienced team and on-going additional support.

Person Spec
You may already be experienced working within the insurance, financial or risk sectors or alternatively, you may be looking for a career change. Previous experience working in administrative or clerical roles is highly desirable.
In this role, you will be comfortable working to our businesses’ SLAs, as well as delivering great results to agreed timescales. We are also looking for someone who is able to offer suggestions for improvements which can be made to processes and is a solutions-based thinker.
As a business support administrator, you will be a strong communicator who is able to work well as part of a team, as well as someone who is able to provide excellent support to our underwriters.
You will also be proficient with MS packages and familiar with using in-house database systems.
