Sales Executive – Remote
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our team. As Sales Executive you will be expected to drive positive outcomes with our brokers and aim to deliver strong service support between our broker panel and underwriting teams. The primary focus of the role will be contacting our Insurance Brokers agencies mainly via phone, to promote and discuss the Commercial MGA segments and range of products.
What you will do as a Sales Executive:
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following:
- Outbound calls to brokers; both new prospects and existing customers
- Follow up on prospecting opportunities
- Understand the brokers insurance needs and discuss our product offerings
- Arrange site visits for external Development Functions and Trading/Development Underwriters
- Gather broker information and actively develop a pipeline with each broker by utilising all available data such as lapse lists, NTU reports and broker meeting notes
- Help develop marketing initiatives and campaigns that will generate leads and enquiries into the Underwriting team
- Provide support to the New Business Underwriting teams to achieve delivery of budgeted New Business
- Arrange specific training sessions between brokers and underwriters to improve understanding of appetite
- Ensure the group can maximise all portal opportunities by onboarding brokers through set up
- Collaborate with External Bravo Networks Development Managers as appropriate to drive engagement
- Deliver appropriate MI, including Broker account details and New Business activity reports, to support the business in achieving or exceeding budget
- Production of broker activity reports for Trading underwriters
- Managing and reporting on campaigns to drive New Business activity
- Providing regular updates on any Broker growth deals
- Oversight of TOBA management and new broker onboarding relationship
- Responsible for ensuring Broker activity spreadsheet is up to date and all actions completed by the relevant owner within specified timescales
What we are looking for in our next Sales Executive:
- Strong Sales background from previous roles
- Experience in making outbound sales calls
- A good understanding of commercial insurance products
- Experience of working with brokers
- Motivated to be consistently achieving and exceeding personal expectations
- Eager to learn, able to show initiative and willing to work in a team as well as individually
- A highly driven individual with a can-do attitude
- The ability to talk to a varied range of customers
- Excellent negotiation and objection handling skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
