Purpose of the Role
This exciting remote based opportunity has arisen to lead our Counterparty Contracts team.
As the driving force behind our Counterparty Contracts team, you’ll empower your people, lead through change, and set the pace for best-in-class contract management. Your focus: seamless onboarding, top-tier governance, and dynamic oversight of agents, introducers, carriers, and capacity providers. You'll be the go-to expert for contract changes, delivering sharp MI for stakeholders, supporting strategic placements, and ensuring robust compliance. From leading mergers and acquisitions to refining our Approved Insurer List, your impact will resonate across every partnership.
What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.
- Lead and manage the Counterparty Contracts Team including coaching and development of people and leading through change and example.
- Accountable for the management and onboarding of all contracts relating to agents, introducers, carriers such as Terms of Business Agreement (TOBA) and Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA).
- Responsible for the continuous monitoring and due diligence of all counterparties.
- Manage onboarding of new capacity providers and ongoing oversight of existing capacity providers.
- Be the central point of contact when any changes relating to counterparty contracts are required.
- Produce monthly MI for key stakeholders to support governance and oversight requirements.
- Support the delivery of placement strategy by challenging the relevance of counterparties with lower volume of business placed and by maintaining the Approved Insurer List.
- Manage Mergers and Acquisitions by ensuring relevant contracts are in place to allow continuous trading.
- Review and provide challenge to the number of, and volume of business placed with unrated insurers to ensure placement threshold is not exceeded.
- Coordinate and respond to internal and external audit requests including undertaking any mitigating actions.

Technically you will need:
- Demonstrable experience and successful track record of leading, continuous improvement and innovation
- Senior leadership and management experience
- Experience working in an insurance environment, preferably insurance broking.
