Purpose of the Role

An exciting remote opportunity is available for a Test Manager to join our IT Application Delivery team, reporting to the Head of Testing & QA. You will support quality assurance efforts, ensuring software products meet high standards of functionality, reliability, and user satisfaction.

This role focuses on implementing effective testing strategies, guiding the testing team, and promoting continuous improvement throughout the testing lifecycle.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will align testing objectives with business goals, identify potential risks early, and contribute to smooth software delivery. This position builds trust in the Technology team's delivery among its customers by ensuring software performs as intended in real-world settings.

What you will do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus of this role will be on the below and more:

• Manage testing in the software test life cycle through analysis, design and planning, execution, and closure stages.

Who we are looking for

• Be adaptable in their work approach to the needs of their customers and stakeholders

• Demonstrates how strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills have continuously improved team performance

• Have an in-depth understanding of how test software/ delivery platforms can be embedded within organisations to promote efficiency and cross-team collaboration

• Ideal candidates have ISTQB qualifications or related qualification

• Industry experience within Financial Services this would be preferential

You will need to be a self-motivated, organised individual who is confident in their own decision making and able to apply their previous experiences and training to current situations. You will need to use your initiative, be assertive and comfortable with managing stakeholders across the business.
